With only a few days left before the Mayan Calendar runs out, Sally Browne at the Sunday Mail has written a fantastic article about my current show in today’s Sunday Mail.

The Greatest Story Ever Told 2  is on at the QLD Centre for Photography until the 13th of January. Assuming the Mayans were just lazy and we will all still be here.

Since it was a day after HolyGreenCow’s 3rd anniversary on the planet, this is a really special way to celebrate!!

Moreton Bay Region Art Awards

Long time no blog, but I just wanted to post this picture of the first framed image from ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told 2’.

It has made the finals of the Moreton Bay Region Art Awards and I am extremely pleased, It looks great (even if this photo doesn’t show it…)

I literally picked it up from the Framers and dropped it off, so this is my first and last look at it… Til the opening on the 18th of May.

HolyGreenCow on the 6 O’clock news !!

As part of the lead up to the opening of my THEY CAME exhibition at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, I was interviewed for the Channel Seven news at 6

It’s been a fantastic week of visiting schools and talking about my work as well as working with the wonderful staff of the BRAG, to help make the opening night really cool… and  a little different… 🙂

It’s been tough being away from Jean and Cordy all week, but this residency has been quite inspiring and I am so glad to have been invited.

Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery

Just got the program and Invite for my exhibition and opening night frivolities  🙂

It looks like a big week in Bundy that week. Can’t wait. The gallery is going all out to make the exhibition a blast!!’

There’s the interactive iPhone tour of my work in the gallery, that should be interesting… I’m yet to record the interviews…

Then there’s the opening night Sci-fi Mash Up to celebrate my THEY CAME series.

The Greatest Story Ever Told II

Finally, after a year, the new series is online and will debut at next weeks Grad show for Honours at QCA. (details in previous post)

This series has been incredible to make and there are so many people I would like to thank, but have already done that in person.

The Jpegs don’t do justice to the 1.5m prints, but if you can’t get to the show, there will be others in the new year!!

New Series..

It’s been a loooooong year this year. The birth of Cordelia has been the highlight, yet this entire year has been consumed by my Honours project.

It is this that I am about to give birth to this week 🙂

Without giving too much away, here’s a poster that makes up the introduction to my new series.

All will be revealed Friday after I have been officially assessed and can unleash this fantastic series on the world!!

I can’t wait!!!

Opening Night at the QCP – August 2011

Pretty amazing exhibition to be a part of… The work of Alberto Sanchez has to be seen in the flesh!!

Unfortunately, as this was Cordelia’s first exhibition, we couldn’t stick around and I regret that I missed an opportunity to chat with fellow artists Gemma-Rose Turnbull and Samantha Everton.

Great to see Callum Ross’s show too. I felt pleased to be in such good company. ‘austrALIENation‘ was really well received and the QCP did an amazing job hanging the show.

It was easily our favourite show to see at the QCP and it was great to see so many people there. Cheers.
